Pilot Pen Badminton Cup

Pilot has always taken an active approach in community efforts, especially towards students. In 1994, Pilot began supporting schools’ badminton tournaments, eventually culminating in the “Pilot Pen Cup”. This annual badminton competition sees Pilot working closely with the Co-Curricular Activities Branch (CCAB) of the Ministry of Education (MOE) to cultivate young sporting talents in the student community.

Over time, the Pilot Pen Cup grew from strength to strength to become one of Singapore’s most anticipated badminton competitions. One of Pilot’s key contributions to the badminton scene was its introduction of the individual tournament for Under-12 in the national badminton championship. This provided an all-new competing platform as well as opportunities for young talent shuttlers to contest and hone their skills.

The competition has also helped to groom top badminton talents including Kendrick Lee, Derek Wong and Loh Kean Yew, who have gone on to represent Singapore on a national level.

The Pilot Pen Cup embodies values that are held in high esteem by Pilot, namely, excellence, passion and commitment, the very same pillars that the brand was built on.
